Daniel Garas is a Budapest-based Director of Photography working internationally across feature films, premium television and commercials. His recent work includes István Szabó’s Embers, photographed on 35mm film and starring Ralph Fiennes and Viggo Mortensen, and the ten-part historical drama Rise of the Raven, on which he served as Lead Director of Photography. Alongside his narrative work, Daniel has maintained an extensive international career as a commercial cinematographer, with significant experience in India, the Middle East and across Europe. His feature Valan – Valley of Angels received the Best Cinematography Award at the Hungarian Film Festival.
